Note about the Updated Edition
​and the Study Guide

When I decided I was going to write my first book at the end of 2019, I had no idea where my self-publishing journey would lead. All I knew what that I love writing and modesty was a topic I had researched well enough that I felt I could write a book on the subject. I had no idea what I was doing when I started, but I was determined to do my best with what I had. Since Beyond Your Wardrobe  released in February 2020, I have released several other titles that have taught me so much about self-publishing. Based on this knowledge and my desire to see this book used to its best potential, I decided that it was time to update the book that started my self-publishing journey.
About 9 months after I published Beyond Your Wardrobe, I also published Study Guide for Beyond Your Wardrobe as a separate book and the Beyond Your Wardrobe DVD. I was excited to see what would happen if I developed the book into a full study. Unfortunately, while the original book did OK, the study guide and DVD did not. Less than a year later, Amazon shut down its Media on Demand service, which was the only way I had to distribute the DVD without paying platform fees. I tried making the videos available as video downloads, but this also did not work because most of the people who bought my book on Amazon were unaware that there was a Bible study curriculum to go with it.

So with the decision to update Beyond Your Wardrobe, I also decided to simplify the curriculum to make it more discoverable. This means that I am adding all the study guide materials into the updated edition, and that the study guide will no longer be sold separately. This also means that I have made the decision to eliminate the videos from DVD altogether and take all but one of the DVD sample videos down from YouTube. There are two reasons: 1) Some of the updates I made to the book made a few of the videos obsolete 2) The videos, either on the DVD or as a download package, did not sell at all, so the work it would take to redo the videos is not justifiable at this time. 

I was quite disappointed to eliminate the DVD videos, largely because I held a small Kickstarter campaign to help fund the extra smart phone equipment I needed to complete them. But I would still like to honor the backers of the project here by sharing their names:

All of the updates made to the book and the Bible study will hopefully improve the quality of the book and will reflect a more complete biblical perspective on why we need to allow the Bible to shape our decisions about what we wear, not the culture or societal trends.
